Introducing the Smart Messaging Standard
We are delighted today to announce our $4.1M strategic fundraising round co-led by Multicoin Capital and Jump Crypto, with participation from Solana Ventures, Tiger Global Management, Joe McCann, and several other prominent angels.
We will use this capital to accelerate our development of the Dialect smart messaging standard. Dialect fills a critical missing primitive in web3 — enabling messaging between wallets. In web3, however, we can use composability to make messages “smart.” Smart messages are to web3 what link previews were to web2: a way to turn plain text into rich media that you can interact and engage with, allowing users to take action right in the message, and leapfrog what’s possible in web2.
To kick off this new phase in our development, we’re also excited to announce partnerships with five of our favorite projects on Solana:

Each of these projects is building critical Solana infrastructure, and between them they represent three major verticals in web3: DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs. We are thrilled to support them in their journey, and demonstrate what our tooling is capable of.
Developing with Dialect is not limited to these partners, however. As of today we are live & audited on Solana mainnet, and have open-sourced our SDK, allowing all developers to start building messaging into their dapps around our two flagship use cases: notifications and chat. The Future is Smart Messaging
We believe that Solana will be the first blockchain to reach a billion users. Pure technical scalability is not sufficient for that future, however. For web3 to reach mainstream adoption, it must also delight its users with new kinds of experiences not possible in web2.
Extreme composability will create that delight in spades, and make for a new kind of internet that in hindsight will feel inevitable. With Dialect, and with smart messaging, we hope to play our part in building that future.
